Job Description

Fraser River Pile & Dredge (GP) Inc. (FRPD) is Canada’s largest Marine & Infrastructure, Land Foundations and Dredging contractor. The company is privately owned with operations mainly in Western Canada and the Northwest Territories.

We are presently looking for applicants with valid CWB welding certification to standard CSA W47.1. Preferred welding process of FCAW/MCAW/SMAW in Semi-Auto and Manual methods

Top union wages per hour plus overtime, an additional 12% for holidays and statutory holidays, a comprehensive benefit and pension plan.

Hours per year average between 2,000 to 2,500, depending on overtime requirements. Currently FRPD is adding Welders for the Pattullo Bridge Replacement Project and CN Rail Fraser River Bridge Seismic Retrofit and working on a very aggressive schedule, which will provide for significant overtime.

These are union positions, and hiring will be done in cooperation with Pile Drivers Local 2404 Hiring Hall. These positions are located in New Westminster, BC and available to qualified individuals in the Lower Mainland area or willing to relocate here.
