The Onboard Support Coordinator reports into the Senior Onboard Manager.

This position is accountable to support the Onboard team with administrative duties and oversight of the onboard logistical functions.

This position is deemed Safety Sensitive.

Key Areas of Accountability


• Training and facilitation of the POS (Point of Sale) system onboard.

• Facilitate the inventory and ordering for sales of merchandise, consumables, and hardware onboard.

• Continuously maintain railcars to their par levels.

• Deliver supplies to railcars as required.

• In tandem with the Onboard Cleaners, facilitate crew meal set up and upkeep of crew cars.

• Perform cleaning duties to ensure both guest facing coaches as well as crew areas are neat and sanitary.

• Facilitate and maintain crew meal rotation, special meals, and meal changes on route in tandem with the Onboard Cleaners.

• Facilitate Rocky Mountaineer’s Green initiatives and recycling programs onboard.

• Maintain guest collateral supplies for the consist.

• Act as primary liaison between the train and the warehouse / distribution team in Kamloops.

• Maintain railcar iPads.

• Maintain First Aid supplies onboard the train.

• Distribution of culinary supplies and food throughout the train as required.

• Organization and Maintenance of Supply Cars in tandem with the Onboard Cleaners.

• Collection of food order data throughout the train on a daily basis.

• Other duties as assigned by the Onboard Leadership.


Education / Certifications / Knowledge

• High school diploma or equivalent an asset


• Experience in an administrative or logistics capacity in the hotel, travel or tourism industry

• Experience using a POS system considered an asset


• Intermediate time management, organization skills and attention to detail

• Intermediate interpersonal skills and guest service excellence

• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office


• Energetic, motivated, and committed to delivering guest service excellence

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Demonstrates a professional, accountable and responsible work ethic; self-motivated


• Exceptional physical endurance and emotional resiliency with the ability to work long days

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 60 pounds

• Able to travel away from home base for up to 4-6 days at a time

• Must be legally allowed to work in Canada for the duration of the operating season (April – October)
