Job Description

THE OPPORTUNITY

Western Forest Products is seeking a Log Truck Driver with BC coastal logging experience, to join our Mid Island Forest Operations in Campbell River, BC. The wage is $37.92 per hour and includes a benefits package.

This site runs a continual shift and is a United Steelworkers (USW) operation, and truck drivers are currently on a 4×4 shift (4 days on, 4 days off, 11.5 hours per day of straight time).

QUALIFICATIONS

  • The successful applicant will have a minimum of 2 years experience in the past 5 years with bc coastal logging
  • Preference for applicants with a Valid OFA Level 3 First Aid Certificate, but all qualified applicants will be considered.
  • All applicants must have a valid BC drivers license and be able to provide a driver’s abstract with resume.
  • Excellent safety record and strong work ethic.
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Accountable and dependable
