As a Solar Technician at the Travers Solar Project, you will contribute to our team by:

  • Installing racking systems and solar panels.
  • Using hand tools, both manual and powered, to install racking and modular components.
  • Distributing material throughout site as part of site shake out/logistics crew.
  • Maintaining good housekeeping and ensuring workspaces remain organized.
  • Helping with site upkeep and cleaning as required.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Workers must be willing to learn and adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
  • Be in good health and physically fit.
  • Prior construction/trades experience is preferred, on job training will be provided.
  • Previous experience working with hand and power tools
  • Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions for up to 9 hours per shift.
  • A valid class 5 license and reliable transportation.
  • Able to work in a team setting as well as independently.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to readily accept and apply direction from supervision.

Work Conditions

This position is physically demanding and involves exposure to all elements of outdoor work. Hours of work for this position are based on a standard 44-hour work week with added overtime as required. Successful candidates will be available for overtime work and weekends.
