Job Description

Teck is currently accepting applications for the position of Instrumentation Mechanic Apprentice. Teck recruits proactively to build a talent pool for current and/or future opportunities.

Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, the Industrial Instrumentation Mechanic Apprentice works alongside Red Seal Instrumentation Mechanics in the installation, calibration, repair, and maintenance of all electronic process control field instrumentation in a modern coal processing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety, and environmental rules and procedures
  • Install, calibrate, repair, and maintain electronic process control field instrumentation
  • Work in a team-oriented environment of instrumentation and electrical peers
  • Perform all aspects of installation where required, including piping and wiring

Qualifications:

  • Registered 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th year Instrumentation Mechanic Apprentice
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Previous mining experience is an asset
