Job Description

Western Forest Products is seeking 2 fully qualified Heavy-Duty Mechanic to join our Jeune Landing Forest Operations and our Holberg Forest Operations, located on Northern Vancouver Island, B.C.

This is an hourly United Steel Worker (USW) union with a rate of $46.84 per hour and comprehensive benefits.

This position is considered safety sensitive, all successful candidates will be subject to a pre-employment drug test.


  • Preference will be given to those with experience in west coast logging equipment (Yarders, Log Loaders & Hydraulic Log Loaders)
  • Fully ticketed Red Seal HD Mechanics are preferred, would consider 3rd and 4th year apprentices with experience
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Highly developed machine diagnostic and repair skills are a benefit
  • Must be a self-starter and be able to work with minimal supervision
