Job Description
We are seeking a fully qualified Heavy-Duty Mechanic to join our Mid Island Forest Operations in Campbell River, B.C.
This is an hourly United Steel Worker (USW) union with a rate of $47.06 per hour plus trade premiums and comprehensive benefits.
This position is currently on a 4×3 shift with 4 days on and 3 days off, 10 hours per day.
This position is considered safety sensitive, all successful candidates will be subject to a pre-employment drug test.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Preference will be given to those with experience in west coast logging equipment (Yarders, Log Loaders & Hydraulic Log Loaders)
- Must be fully ticketed Red Seal HD Mechanic.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Highly developed machine diagnostic and repair skills are a benefit
- Must be a self-starter and be able to work with minimal supervision
- OFA Level 3 certificate considered an asset
