Job Description

Role Summary: The site supervisor works under the direction of project managers to maintain active, clean, and safe worksites prioritizing workplans, timelines, and budgets at all times.

Position Function: A successful site supervisor is responsible for daily project site management under the leadership of a project manager. You are a journeyperson carpenter or carpenter of equivalent skill who works and trains by example, tools on. You must be able to read both architectural and interior plans and drawings and be well versed in construction software such as Co-Construct and QuickBooks Time. Excellent communication skills will be critical as this role engages with a variety of trades and suppliers.

Reports to: Assigned Project Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and secure working environment by following and enforcing company standards and procedures (WCB)
  • By direction of the PM, you coordinate and communicate with trades
  • By direction of the PM, you communicate and schedule inspections and other job-related requirements and activities
  • Ensure job sites have all materials required
  • Develop apprentices on site
  • Manage daily schedules, ensuring efficient and effective productivity
  • Review budgets and manage costs

Role Requirements:

  • Ability to drive with a valid driver’s license
  • Strong knowledge of the Construction Industry and home building process; well versed in BC Building Code
  • Knowledge and abilities around excavations and elevations to framing and formwork and finishing details
  • At least 10 years of experience in a similar field
  • Able to read and analyze both architectural and interior plans, drawings, and blueprints
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Be courteous and professional representing the company in the best ways possible to clients, teammates, delivery drivers and subcontractors
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with the Carpentry Division in a direct and diplomatic way
  • You must be able to see the big picture as well as the finer details
  • Have a systematic and organized approach to work
  • Strong leadership skills, including effective time management, prioritizing and delegation are required
  • You must be able to lead, coach, support and motivate your team while always seeking to improve best practices
  • Develop proficiency in Co-Construct, QuickBooks Time, Asana, and Email
  • Must have a forward-thinking mindset and embrace change
  • The ability to contribute to and implement organizational strategy
  • Capacity to work with people at all levels in the company, an excellent team player

Working Conditions

Primarily on the job sites. Will be expected to travel as needed to company subsidiaries and attend further education seminars paid for by the company. Use learned skills and tools to execute all aspects of projects to Stattonrock standards.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $31.00-$37.00 per hour
