Job Description

Western Forest Products is seeking 2 fully qualified Automotive Mechanic to join our Jeune Landing Forest Operations and our Holberg Forest Operations located on Northern Vancouver Island, B.C.

This is an hourly United Steel Worker (USW) union position with a wage rate of $44.13 (for fully certified auto mechanics).

The successful candidate must be available to work the afternoon shift, Monday to Friday, from 3:30pm to 12:00am.

This position is considered safety sensitive, all successful candidates will be subject to a pre-employment drug test.

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Fully ticketed Red Seal Automotive Mechanic
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Highly developed machine diagnostic and repair skills are a benefit
  • Must be a self-starter and be able to work with minimal supervision
