Who We Are
The mytrades.ca website was specifically designed and developed to help match skilled labour with employers across Canada looking to fill anticipated vacancies. In short, this job board was born out of our desire to offer a simple and easy platform that can connect both sides in the most efficient and cost effective manner possible.
Our smart, easy-to-use dashboards allow employers to post jobs, track applicants, engage in zoom meetings with potential candidates and much more. Jobseekers can upload resumes, chat with potential employers as well as create job alerts via text. Best of all, it’s responsive on all platforms and in particular, tablets and mobile for those jobseekers that are on the go!
One of the most important aspects of the mytrades.ca website is giving back to the communities we serve. In partnership with community trades schools across Canada, our “Yellow Cap” program pays back a portion of every paid job listing posted on mytrades.ca into the community of each employer that is registered with us.
This includes investments with colleges and their programs that promote or enhance the recognition of women in trades, indigenous people as well as high school incubation programs that help kickstart skilled trades careers. We just think it’s something that employers can feel proud to buy into and feel good that their postings are helping out in the communities they serve and live.
Recruiting Made Simple
We know usability is key to the recruitment process and we made every effort to make the site easy to use, yet we added an array of rich and very powerful features to facilitate job browsing and posting capabilities for both the employer and the candidate. At the heart of this initiative and our future is innovation: we are changing the way people think about work, and we’re helping them actively improve their lives and their workforce performance with new technology, tools and practices in the Canadian skilled trades community.

At Mytrades, we believe there is a better way to do recruiting in the skilled trades sector. A more valuable and effective method where clients are earned rather than bought. We fully understand that with larger job sites, you can sometimes feel like a small fish in a big ocean!
We’re a group of people who are wildly passionate about changing the way employers recruit in the skilled trades sector. We believe simplicity has been lost or constrained by big job boards for too long and client servicing has taken a backseat.
